The target group in the clinical trial comprised of cancer patients residing in Sri Lanka and Sri Lankans living in the United States, Australia, United Kingdom and Canada. Patients in Norway have also been given the medicine in the pilot stage of the treatment program. Therefore, it is recommended to take the medicine together with food.<\/p><p>Patients who are on insulin are recommended to consume a balanced meal prior to taking \u03b1-Elostera\u00ae as it can reduce blood sugar levels along with insulin. The medicine has shown no negative impacts on kidneys and liver. Renal and Hepatic Evaluation is done using Liver Specific Enzymes ALT and AST (for liver) and GFR and Blood Creatinine Levels (for kidney).<\/p><p>Liver and Renal Evaluation tests tend to be normal before and after \u03b1-Elostera\u00ae treatment.
